Is Real Estate A Good Investment?

The short answer to this question is yes because, you'll gain many benefits investing into real estate.

In this real estate business, you'll have the opportunity of having multiple streams of income, which is very necessary in this present economy.

Some people avoid investing into real estate because they feel it requires too much money.

But the truth is, with the little money you have, you can start real estate business on a small scale. And investing into real estate with adequate knowledge will help you.

So Here Are Some Reasons Why Real Estate Is A Good Investment
  • You'll Enjoy Continuous Cash Flow.
Imagine you own a house. And you rent it out to some Tenants, every year, you'll be receiving a certain amount of money from your tenants, known as house rents.

What if you have like two houses for rent and there are tenants ready occupying the house. How will you feel?

I know you may feel over whelmed about the idea of finding quality tenants and managing the property, but you can hire a property manager (care taker) to help you.

  • You Are Financially Secured
When you invest in real estate long-term, you know you have an appreciating asset. It may go through hills and valleys, losing some value along the way, but housing usually bounces back if you hold onto it long enough.

Many people invest into real estate to supplement their retirement income. Whether you own the property while you’re retired, earning the monthly rental cash flow to supplement your income, or you sell a property you’ve owned for many years once you’re in retirement and make a profit, you’ll increase your retirement income.

Some people feel more secured knowing their money is invested in a safe investment (real estate) rather than leaving it liquid in a cash account or investing it into bitcoin or forex. And there are many ways you can invest into real estate.
  • And You Can Pass Real Estate Down to Your Children.
If you want to leave a legacy behind but don’t think going cash is a good idea, then passing real estate down to your children is a very good idea.

Think of your land Lord or land lady for instance some of your land lords/land ladies in Lagos inherited the houses they are managing from their parents.

So you can do the same by owning a property and and transferring it to your children when you're gone.

And not only will you give your children an income-producing asset, but it’s also an appreciating asset. So they can either keep the property and let the legacy continue or sell it and earn profit.

  • You Have The Advantage Of Investing In An Ever Growing Population
Lagos is the smallest but most populous state in Nigeria. Lagos has grown from just 1.4million inhabitants in 1970 to approximately 22million as of today.

Lagos has a population density of about 5000persons/Sq.km making it one of the most densely populated cities in Africa.

It has been estimated that about 86 persons migrate to Lagos every hour, that is more than 2000 persons every day and close to a million persons every year. You won't go be wrong investing in to real estate in this area.
  • Growing Middle-Class Population Can Affect your Investment In A Positive Way.
Lagos vibrant economy has led to a growing middle-class population and money to spend on luxuries and decent accommodation.

The middle segment of the housing market is robust despite the economic headwinds experienced by every other sector of the Nigerian economy and this has been attributed to strong demand for houses by the middle class.

Conclusion
Real estate is a great way to diversify your investment portfolio. You can offset the risk of high-risk investments, such as money invested in the stock market. In addition, if you invest in rental properties you can enjoy cash flows.
